Come celebrate the tomato at WSCG's 5th Sauce Day!

SAUCE DAY 

Sunday 8th March, 2026

9am - 3pm

We are pleased to be gathering again to make passata in our beautiful community garden, and we'd love you to join us!

On the day:

• You will have a hands on role in turning over 300kg of lovely ripe tomatoes into rich passata sauce.

• You will be guided through the sauce making process by our sauce maker extraordinaire, Mr Paul Magnifico!

• Arni, our gardener chef, will demonstrate how to smoke tomatoes, the most amazing taste sensation!

• Taste a selection of heritage tomatoes, and glean some growing tips from our green thumbed plot holders.

• Lunch by Arni, our gardener chef, who will create an abundant rustic feast, celebrating the tomato. 

• You'll leave with a limited edition Sauce Day tote bag, recipes, tips and two bellissimo bottles of passata sauce... and you'll have the first opportunity to buy more bottles to stash in your pantry.
