Sauce Day 2022
'Passata is a type of tomato purée made from fresh, in-season tomatoes that's often used as a base for pasta sauces, soups, stews, and other delicious dishes.'
Willsmere Station Community Garden held its first ever Sauce Day on Sunday March 6, 2022. We started with 6 boxes of tomatoes, 2 massive pots, 20 fantastic sauce makers, 1 Mr Magnifico... and ended up with just over 100 bottles of lovely, rich tomato sauce.
We can't wait to do it again in 2023!
